For those of you who don't know about it, UL has one of the top percussion departments in the US (we have produced 4-- count 'em, 4-- national snare drum champions). One of them is Jeff Prosperie, recent head of percussion here who was recently hired away.

DO NOT MISS THIS PERFORMANCE. Bring the spouse, bring the kids, bring the old folks, bring your neighbors and your priest, bring everyone. Even if you only mildly enjoy music, you will be blown away by the whole thing, because they pull out everything, including the kitchen sink.

There are Brazilian drumming lines, melodic percussion ensembles, Indonesian gamelan bells, Japanese taiko drums, snare solos, stuff that will make you sit there with your jaw open.

Even the little kids sit still and watch. Really, don't miss it. It's GREAT.
