Fatal Crash Claims the Life of Rayne Man
Monday night just after 11:30p.m. Louisiana State Troopers arrived to the scene of a fatal crash on LA Highway 342 near Riceland Road, which claimed the life of a Rayne man.
According to investigators, a 2008 Dodge truck driven by 49-year-old Troy Sarver of Rayne was traveling east on LA Highway 342. Sarver traveled off the left side of the road, overcorrected to the right and overturned in a ditch. Sarver, who was not restrained, was pronounced dead by the Lafayette Parish Coroner.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
