OK, I'm waiting on our baseball guru to issue his evaluation.

The only thing that drives me nutz is the
persistent local call that we will be vastly improved this year, but will be really good next year.

Of course the next year syndrome is being applied to men basketball. Cajun fans are consistently confused with Jobe.

And there is more respect for SLU (#43)...LaTechie (#93)...and Monroe (#111) than us. Not a good state of affairs for this once proud program.

We have a huge roster turnover coming off a bad year; not too much reason for respect ... until we go out and earn it.

The only thing about being lowly ranked is how far the teams need to improve to have good RPI. Cajuns will respond well.

I was at practice on Saturday we fed the boys. All I can tell you is according to a few of the boys they have more talent on this team than any other they have seen. It is yet to be seen but Tony said that they have some of the character that the World series team had. Now will it roll over to the field we will see. But I would guess we will be pleasantly surprised by this group of fine young men.
