Rightfielder Desi Chatman provided the offense.

Brittany Cuevas and Shari Sigur added the defense from the circle and by the time Western Kentucky base running mistakes had ruined two scoring opportunities, UL's Lady Cajuns escaped with a 2-0 victory and a three-game sweep over the visiting Hilltoppers.

Chatman gave the Lady Cajuns all of the runs they would need with a homerun to right field off hard-luck losing pitcher Jennifer Kempf. Kempf surrendered only four hits in the game, with Chatman's "big fly" the only safety to leave the infield.

Cajun centerfielder Karli was the only UL player to collect multiple hits with a bunt single in the third and another infield single in the fifth.
