The Ragin’ Cajuns women’s basketball team kept pace with FIU throughout the evening – the lead changing hands 13 times – and had an opportunity to claim victory in regulation here Wednesday evening at Earl K. Long Gym.

Damn! Can't wait till Coach gets a full group of players into here.
This team certainly seems to be headed in the right direction. I thoroughly enjoy listening to Coach B's comments each week. Like you said, just need another recruiting class or 2 and we will be in the thick of things in conference.
We will have to be much better. Of course, right now, we are essentially a freshman team playing a varsity schedule. We do not close well, again a common issue with youth. I think it will take 3 years to get some semblance of the level of play that we need to be in the hunt for the conference title, now that Middle is no longer here. We are definitely moving in the right direction, though.
I bet the women get to the big dance before the men
I'll take that bet. The men are one space eater away from the dance. The women need a bit more help. Not that I will be disappointed if you are right.
A beer and a burger or dog at the Cajundome?
I agree especially since MT & NT will be out of the league next year. I do realize we have not had a problem with NT (except for the tournament) but they are still a tough team.
Also with a year under their belt this team will be better next year and the year after.
Geaux Cajuns!!
