Thread: Montreal Jordan

  1. UL Football Montreal Jordan

Philadelphia High School coach Teddy Dyess was hopeful Montreal Jordan’s qualifying ACT score would kick-start his recruitment, but instead the Dandy Dozen prospect has seen his options narrow in recent weeks.

    ...

“Schools have gotten to the point that they don’t want to develop players anymore,” he said. “Guys like (Mississippi State coach) Dan Mullen and (Ole Miss coach) Hugh Freeze just want four-stars or five-stars; they don’t want to develop players. That kind of gives a high school coach a bad taste in your mouth.”

    ...

The Ragin’ Cajuns are the favorites to land the 6-foot-1, 185-pound dual-threat QB, according to Mendenhall coach Paul Purvis.

Would be a very nice get.

Well, the article says he wants to play qb, and he wants to evaluate his chances. Today it was announced that Southern Miss, one of his schools, has a qb commitment out of New Orleans. You can check out this guy on the Cajun Red Zone. Get his physical profile. He is listed at 6'2.5" and 185#s. A stress fracture slowed his progress, and for Boomer has three stars behind his name.

Looks like a good prospect we have a red shirt year available to mature and develop.

Rivals has the guy at 5' 11". The other two services have him at 6'2 and 6' 2.5". All of the services have him listed as a DB. Hate to waste players that can turn there hips well on a QB spot. Of course the staff might be getting him to look by saying he can play the position he wants (Quarterback) I guess.

Hell I told Roy Henry he could make the offensive game plan and choose the receivers that he wanted!!! Kidding but just think of all the times that coaches have put guys at the wrong position!!!

Yeah, that's what I meant, just with different words. I remember a 5 star recruit by the name of Russell Shepard that chose LSU over Texas because they would let him try QB. Which lasted only one year, in which he didn't see the field. Russell Shepard ended his career at LSU as a WR.
