I missed the game, but this was a very nice surprise. Sounds like Marlin has these guys playing hard. Sure wish we could get a big man. Anyway, great to see the Cajuns win one. Hopefully, this team can make a run, and build some consistency.

However, you cannot question their hustle. Also, guys who were on the bench supported their teammates throughout the contest.
At one point...if I remember correctly...he had 4 freshmen and a sophomore in the game..and they held ArState off. They played tremendous defense, worked the ball around, shot well, and Shawn was controlling their big men. That was impressive

And as stated before, Shawn is a rebounding beast. I can only imagine how dominant he will be in a year or two...once he's older, stronger, and has some inside help.

I just hope we can keep long here long enough so we can build around him. With the history lately of players leaving I just hope he doesn't decide to leave.

Elridge Moore started, he is a junior
So we started 3 freshmen Long, Wronkowski, and Sheppard
    And elfrid a sophomore

On a side note, man did kasey Sheppard play lights out last night, great energy, hit some big
3's and came down with 7 boards

Would love to seem play with this kind of energy coming off the bench every night. If he can do that, i can see us making a run

I'll say this... no one on that floor was playing, at any time last night, like they had it on their mind to leave this program. I've never seen a harder working unit. You can see in their eyes they all are giving 100%.

It's refreshing to see positive posts on here following a basketball game. I like this team a lot. It can be frustrating to watch them at times but they hustle and play hard till the end. They are learning how to win. If they can get things going on the road it could get interesting.

Another freshman, Josh Soto, played significant minutes off the bench and scored eight points. Shepherd was also quite disruptive defensively. You could tell they tightened up in the last four minutes but their defensive intensity never wavered. Also, Shawn Long was Coach Marlin's player guest at last week's Rebounders Club luncheon. While it is great to have a victory over ASU considering how hard the guys played, effort alone won't win on the road. They will have to execute more efficiently to do so. That will be very tough considering Mbamalu may miss a few games. Next two games is an especially tough assignment as they go to WKU and MT. That includes the league's highest profile team and probably this year's best team. Still, I bet they will give it their all.

Loved the way they played last night. Great intensity and man did Sheppard have a great game. Can't wait to see him develop. This team is moving in the right direction. But man do we still have some work to do at the free throw line.
