Then there was Garcia the jumping giant killer. Listed as 6'1" but known to be 5'11"
Height aside, his body of work is too small, he had 1 good year in a spread offense against what's considered the lowest competition in D1....rusty smith from fau played for 4 years at 6'5 in a pro style offense and he was a 6th round pick. Blaine will not get drafted, most spread QB's don't get drafted regardless. He may get in a camp somewhere but I doubt he will be there long. Could have a career in the CFL. I have a feeling you will see gautier on the sidelines at cajun field next year.

I agree 99 times out of 100 (perhaps more) you have to have an outstanding final campaign to get drafted.

He is almost the exact opposite in what NFL teams look for in a QB. This isn't a knock on Blaine. He's meant the world to us. But he's not nearly tall enough to be a NFL QB. And it's not like he makes up for that with tremendous accuracy. He may have a shot to get signed by a team if he preforms well on pro day. But he'd have to change positions. Desormeaux had a chance to make the Jags as a safety. Blaine would have to do something similar.

He and Russell Wilson are the exceptions. And Brees is also one of the most accurate QBs ever. Blaine's thing has never been accuracy. Especially on the deep ball.

Blaine looks like a smart kid. I'm sure he'll be getting his degree and move on to have lots of success elsewhere.

College stats have ZERO to do with the NFL draft, whether it's a 4 year or 1 year "body of work". NFL teams draft "upside" and for the most part only use attributes such as size (height), arm strength, accuracy, and football IQ. Small school, spread QBs, that are under 6'3" have zero to no chance of getting drafted, unless it's a a guy like Colt Brennan from Hawaii who set all kinds of NCAA passing records. And even then, he wasnt a highly drafted player, and never made anything of himself as a pro. Blaine will have to switch positions, and sign as an undrafted free agent to get a shot in that league.

Our current QB on the other hand does have a decent shot to make it at the next level.

Blaine wont get picked up as undrafted free agent after the draft, his only hope is to really impress at a rookie minicamp, and hope to earn training camp invite from there

You can't attend a mini-camp without either being drafted or signing as an undrafted Free Agent. But yeah, we're saying the same thing.

I agree. Broadway has a chance to get drafted if he stays healthy (fingers crossed real hard!)

Actually you can be invited to rookie mini camp without being signed as undrafted free agent
