All they had to do was turn on the AC before the game.

While ice may have been a factor, record rainfall and the subsequent humidity was a larger factor. A known factor! Easily fixed with running the AC -a no brainer- game day management dropped the ball.

Exactly. The ice is under the court every game. This is the first time moisture was a factor throughout the game. The root cause was the AC operation.

I have seen it happen often, just not so bad.

In addition to ruining a good wood floor, the seating is screwed up. Just MO ice and cajuns do not go together well.

Well when you have about 1500 people in the stands, play boring ball you need all the contrived crap you can come up with.

Love Cajun basketball with Shipley, Pascal, Fletcher, Jesse Evans, this is just like getting your teeth cleaned, not painful, but no fun either.

The A/C should NEVER be turned off in a building that size.

1- There is ice under the floor. If you get heat and humidity above it, with the cool underneath the floor.....SWEAT happens!
2- If you get too much humidity in that place, it just takes too long to pull it out. Thus, finally turning the A/C on in the 1st half did no good, because it takes hours to get the humidity pulled out of a building that size.
    3- Smart building management.

Exactly, where hot and cold mix will make moisture.

I understand losing patience due to the frustration of all the recent close losses but he will get a chance to see if his current plan ultimately pays off. We can do nothing about it. If you support the program go to the games, if not-stay home. It is your money and your time. It is not our place to judge. If and when things turnaround, victory will be sweeter for the guys who stayed with them.
Nothing personal but again I disagree. I do not need to stay home Marlin needs to start proving that he is worth the money we are paying him. We (The Cajun Nation) deserve better and we are paying for it. I have as much right to my opinion as anyone whether it is considered judging or not. Ask yourself two simple questions:

    1. Would an objective mind consider it easier to turn around our Football program that has been less than stellar over the last 40 years or our basketball program that has a top 50 lineage?

    2. Would an objective mind think it easier to turn around a women's basketball program that has never been successful except when Hall was here or a men's basketball program that has a top 50 lineage?

A lot of supporters consider it more important that the University keep their promises and, that is more important than the direction and performance of our basketball program. Well, we kept our promises without justification and what did it get us?

Oh yes, I forgot another what I consider important fact. Its not the players that have left that bother me it is the performance of some of the players that are still here i.e. we constantly here things like AMT is a scorer slasher - well how many points has that yielded us. Oh Josh Soto can shoot the eyes out of the basket - it appears the basket still has plenty of eyes when he shoots. Our best scorer is Long period. He was suppose to be a big that was could contribute - well he has done more that just contribute. He is the best player on the team. Look if a guy is going to be a project than don't build him up. Why say/write things that are not true? So what's point - Marlin is responsible for all the players that are here and not here and I have lost confidence that we can recruit our way out of this hole! We either have to play better - have not done that yet or get better players - who is the recruiter - Marlin????? A case could be made now after three years that his best season was when he inherited Robert Lee's team. Lee was a better recruiter but also a poor coach!

Except it's not AFTER 3 years. If you are going to makes point it doesn't help to string out slight

Last year and year one were identical, except in how they played out.

Marlin proved he can undo several years of poor coaching in half a season. At the same time he showed he can make a star out of any freshman, but he needs a balance of mature players (for consistency) to win.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion and I did not do a good job of indicating that in my original post. Yes, I understand wanting more for our money. My main point is that at this stage what fans think about the basketball staff has little impact on their future. With the no. of years we now are on the hook for, we won't buy them out regardless of how this years record ends up. That is fact and everyone just needs to accept it. You don't have to like it but it is reality. Major disappointment I have with the program is the departure of Kadeem Coleby. Actually is is when he left. Had he made his decision to leave in April, we could have recruited another inside player. Making that decision in July is a major factor in our problems right now. Hopefully another big is signed come April.
