I just don't get WHY they have to consistently be playing from behind. And yes losing to teams such as TexSo and other subpar SBC teams throws me for a loop. Change those out for squeaker wins and we're 10-8, maybe 11-7 and looking REAL pretty for postseason hopes.
To answer your question about playing from behind
What do you expect we ONLY have 3 legitimate scoring players, and for some reason Mbamalu does not score much in the first half.
If kevin brown never got hurt, we would be alot better team because he could have helped provide a scoring punch we desperately need now

I think if we had one more scorer this year to go along with Mbamalu, Long, and Payton we would be above .500

Just like you can't throw out close wins, you can't throw out close loses.

This team plays hard, has no stars, and is young. How can anyone expect better than inconsistency. That would be the Marlin era so far.

Speaking of the redo? I have read and heard he was to get a redo because he was promised either verbally or in the original contract by winning the West he would get an extension.

I get honoring either, but if he got an extension when he was supposed to then he would be in year two of that extension and we would only be on the hook for two more. Since we delayed it we are in year one and on the hook for four more. By any logic the extension with all that has befallen him should bring it back to what it would have been in year one.

One that wasn't left at mid term apparently didn't want to work in the system. Nine of the thirteen current roster players are new. This was going to be a learning year from the start, and it's exactly what it has been. They've played and lost close games to a number of teams who have veteran leadership and returning skilled players all year. I can't remember any games where they weren't in it at the end.

Am I disappointed that we didn't win a few more, sure. But I also see a team who holds their heads up and fights to win games, not mopes on the side when they get taken out or shows up on the bench without a jersey. Without a doubt we need some better players to fill the roster, including more size, but I'd take this team over last years any day.
    +1
Although the record is not that great, I could not be more proud of the way this team plays. I love watching them play.

I think you are missing the point. I don't care why; its been three years and yes I am counting.

My biggest disappointment about last nights game was the court. Didn't the Cajundome folks think to check the court condition before shutting down the AC's in the place. The temperature was about 75 with I'm guessing a good level of humidity, so with the hockey rink below the ice the floor was sweating. It was dangerous for all involved. This is a professional arena, and they need to do a better job.

Another item might be to have court mops that actually are designed for the job available rather than a grad assistant using a small mop with a towel. The refs had to mop the court the first few times because there were none available on the court. I know they get kids volunteering for this which I think is a nice gesture but not always a good idea. Unfortunately, last night I guess none showed up.

This cost us Amt which very well could have been the difference in us winning the game
Also this almost cost us elridge to a serious injury

Yep, I was very concerned about the court. I saw the game management personnel pull 2 kids from the stands to do towel duty. The poor kids were clueless on what they were supposed to do. Can't blame them.

We had 2 players injured from the poor floor conditions. That is unacceptable for our university and the Cajundome.

Get rid of the ice rink. Never should have been put in the Cajun Dome and needs to be eliminated.
