If he is Coach Hud's man; then I'm 100% "Holdin' the Rope!"

When HUD hired Stewart, he said he wanted a 3-4 guy because he knew how offenses had to prepare differently for 3-4 defense and how frustrating it could be at times.

This is the wiki page for their 2010 team when Willis was there.

I'd search 2010 Texas Tech Defense if you want an idea of how his D did.
I got ya, even still he played Brandon weeden, RGIII, Landry jones and sumlin at Houston...so still some pretty good offenses

I dont think I'd like this hire after reading up on him. However, this is based off what I've read about him. Hud's opinion of him is WAY more credible. So I'll trust his decision if he hires him.

I spoke o a friend at work who is a Bama grad. As soon as I asked him if he had heard of Willis he responded enthusiastically in the affirmative. Before I even told him why I was asking he raved about the guy as both a player and coach. He mentioned that Willis was a very good recruiter.

Think Hurley Brown, and Willis will deliver similar.

Wow, I like James Willis's coaching experience. If Hud wants him for our DC, then I do to. He would be an exciting hire for the program and if the man can recruit, look out.

He will help us immediately in recruiting. BTW, this will more than likely be HUDS strongest recruiting class by far.

Sure looks that way. That's a STRONG list of visits happening later this month. And...reading between the lines...I think there are a couple (or more) being kept secret for good reason.

I wonder if there is a exit plan lurking WAY in the background?
