If he is Coach Hud's man; then I'm 100% "Holdin' the Rope!"
When HUD hired Stewart, he said he wanted a 3-4 guy because he knew how offenses had to prepare differently for 3-4 defense and how frustrating it could be at times.
I dont think I'd like this hire after reading up on him. However, this is based off what I've read about him. Hud's opinion of him is WAY more credible. So I'll trust his decision if he hires him.
I spoke o a friend at work who is a Bama grad. As soon as I asked him if he had heard of Willis he responded enthusiastically in the affirmative. Before I even told him why I was asking he raved about the guy as both a player and coach. He mentioned that Willis was a very good recruiter.
