If the offense can match the last couple of years and the new guy brings us a much improved defense, we're going to have some fun at Cajun field. I'm pumped already.

This guy was close enough to sniff the back side of Nick Saban's ball satchel during meetings when strategizing defensive game plans. Works for me.
People don't understand yet just how much of an upgrade this is.
This is HUGE.
James Willis is a great hire. He is a BCS conference caliber coordinator.
I personally feel the only way we were even lucky enough to land him was because he pleaded guilty to charges of assault and domestic violence and was sentenced to six months deferred probation which really set his coaching career back.
Since his hiring as UL's new defensive coordinator was formally announced a little more than a month ago, James Willis has spent plenty of time watching film.
No cushy stadium-style movie-theater seating, though, and certainly no buttered popcorn.

"Sources we have spoken with expect Willis to accept position at Florida State. Will update The Scoop"
"At ULL, sources we have spoken with believe Hud will have an open look at options for DC. Definitely will consider outside hires."
"Expect DC at ULL to be an attractive job to a number of guys. Think he’ll get a good one."

Wish him the best. NC winning team aside, is it common for a DC to take a positions coaching gig? Wish we could get a bigger pool of money for our assistant coaching staff.
Pretty sure pay vs working on a national championship program are mutually exclusive. Of course he takes the position, it is career development.
