One played in the NFL, the other did not.
Still, speaking of UL Ragin' Cajuns head coach Mark Hudspeth, new UL defensive coordinator James Willis can't help but sense some similarities between the two.

The right choice??? Thoughts???
I trust in Hud. I'm sure he will make the right decision.
The guy's resume seems solid and ditto about trusting HUD
Hud hired him after doing quite a bit of due dilegence ... that is good enough for me.
Alabama fans I work with speak highly of him and beleive we made a good hire.
If the offense can match the last couple of years and the new guy brings us a much improved defense, we're going to have some fun at Cajun field. I'm pumped already.
This guy was close enough to sniff the back side of Nick Saban's ball satchel during meetings when strategizing defensive game plans. Works for me.
People don't understand yet just how much of an upgrade this is.
This is HUGE.
James Willis is a great hire. He is a BCS conference caliber coordinator.
I personally feel the only way we were even lucky enough to land him was because he pleaded guilty to charges of assault and domestic violence and was sentenced to six months deferred probation which really set his coaching career back.
