Thread: Rumored - Stewart out as DC

  1. Default Re: Rumored - Stewart out as DC

Rebowe gets the job and Roth from Rummel gets the LBs and box guys---Well I would at least think that Rebowe would apply for the position unless HUD wants a big shakeup like defensive assistants---many times part of the deal is to bring in some of the coordinators own guys----I would like to see us get a big name guy out of NO---just whom that might be I don't know but thought that someone like Roth would be pretty good!!!

Wonder when was the last time a hand picked coach was fired after helping your team win its bowl games two years in a row, especially after the said team hadn't been in a bowl game in what, 40 years?

Maybe Stewart wasn't comfortable with the 4-3 and HUD stated he wanted to go 4-3 for the future.

Maybe he fell of the wall and all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put him back together again.

As CajunT says, he has earned his stripes at this level. Not only is our program past hiring a high school coach, our assisstants coaches are above getting passed over in the pecking order for a high school coach.
Absolutely NO WAY we will hire an unproven college coach, much less someone that is not even HEAD COACH in high shcool.

Didn't Hugh Freeze jump from high school directly to a position coach at Ole Miss? That guy turned out to be pretty good at this level.
