What was the SS for LSU Larson, he hit like 40 bombs one year I believe. No telling how many times he shot up in that year though.

I am going to go for some of the non-obvious players (non-Cajuns).

I think that Robin Ventura would make that list. One of the best pure hitters I have seen in college and was an outstanding pro.

Strictly great college players ... Monty Fariss was one of the best college players I have seen play at Tigue Moore. Ben McDonald was not too shabby either. Jon Lieber of South Alabama.

Thanks for the thoughts but I doubt that I could make bat boy for the teams that have come through after me, by the way it`s Stuart!!!! David Alvis, Ron Robicheaux, those guys should be considered along with Joey Bell who played against us in the 80`s, I remember in 85 he came up to bat against Xavier Hernandez , and he was so mean he had this sort of grunt as he moved around in the batters box, I`m thinking just don`t hit the guy, but X got the best of him, oh by the way UL 6 - LSU 5, king for a day. I will tell anyone that those four years were some of the best of my life. I still wish that I could get in a game somewhere.

I was thinking he came with Ok St is the late 80's, but that might have been Robin Ventura.

The two never played on the same team. Oklahoma State came to Moore Field three years after Incaviglia was gone. Ventura and Fariss were on the same team and played next to each other in the infield. Fariss was a masher. Fariss was actually drafted ahead of Ventura in the '88 draft. But both were top ten picks in the 1st round.

This is before Tigue Moore Park was built and I still remember Charlie Bordes even though he was younger than me. He would have made the big leagues but the Rangers farm system was consolidated.
