St. Petersburg, Fla. -- According to popular blogger and radio personallity Clay Travis, the University of Mississippi has come under fire from the Mississippi legislature for the recruitment of the nation's concensus No. 1 prospect Robert Nkemdiche.

Apparently, a detailed email complaint was lodged with Mississippi State Legislature's Joint Committee on Performance Evaluation and Expenditure Review alleging that Sunday Nkemdiche, Robert's father, a doctor in Georgia, has been promised a job at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

The complaint also alleges that Dr. Richard L. Summers, a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine is the individual who planned to hire Sunday Nkemdiche. Summers's son, Stewart, is a walk-on quarterback at Ole Miss.

Because Summers' son plays for Ole Miss, he is considered a booster and providing a recruit's parent with a job would qualify as a major NCAA violation."

All Mississippi schools have been scrambling for the last 3 recruiting seasons. Coach Hud is plucking all their good recruits out from under them.

------This Smith fellow with the NOLA group is saying LSU on the way to get him in Florida---LSU is making an unreal pick up at the UA game---We all know that this opens up things to get kids that they might try to grey shirt or just back out on---Recruiting is so risky cause the guys they lose might be the better players!!!

Ole Miss is kicking butt on national recruits. Miss State is losing out in head to head recruiting. We've tapped into some of both of their backyards. Ole Miss is reaching so deep nationally, they're like LSU. They are passing up a huge amount of backyard talent. UL can only benefit as that proceeds. But, we have to battle it out down to the final seconds, and leave our list partly empty. We are taking risks we haven't taken in the past... on down to wire recruits.

-----TECH hires Scelfo as the OC--surely we can do something with this!!! I think the Karr coach will help---I remember when I took over NO recruiting--I think that I knew all except John Curtis---I had been coached by some---Played against teams that they coached and played with and against some---huge advantage---Oh and I knew uptown from Downtown and where the 6th and 9th wards were and the shortest way from the river to the lake!!! All the nicknames of the schools and most of the fight songs---Warren Easton's still the best ever with Jesuit's very close!!!

I like the risks Coach Hud takes. It definitely has produced depth with talent and it shows on the field. I think (but could be wrong) that Hud's efforts in Mississippi have negatively affected both Southern Miss and Tulane.

You're NOT wrong!! The fact that we've equaled, and in some cases surpassed the talent level at Smiss is pretty evident over the last 2 seasons. Toolame is a non-factor and will probably remain as such. Joe montana's brat will have to prove himself on the field.

  12. UL Football Re: Ole Miss in trouble??

TooLame is doing very well at recruiting. Hud would take most of those Johnson has signed and getting commitments from.
