I agree. Congratulations to the Cajuns. I don't mean to rain on the parade but I want some other opinions. I have become quite skeptical of our strategy coming from the 3rd base box. I believe it was Friday when Devery was up with 2 on and no outs and a 2-0 count. He was asked to bunt and put himself in a 2 strike situation. I know he has been struggling at the plate but I would venture to guess that he was moved to the DH role in order to break out of his slump. Let him hit!!!! Also, today Jeffries was up with a four run lead after going 4-4 with 3 doubles in his first 4 at-bats. Once again he was asked to bunt. I know I will be getting some "Tonyball" responses. I just don't think that these situations are considered "Tonyball" situations nor do I think these calls are coming from the top. What do you guys think?
Instead of questioning why they were asked to bunt. Maybe we should ask why they cant get the bunt down. Not sure about Devery, but I know today with Tadford the way everyone was jacking the ball out of the park a 4 run lead is never safe. I guess the way Coach looks at it is, usually the games are really close between us and advancing the runners could mean the difference between winning and losing.

It seems to me that will be the best pitch you will see. I might also say that sometimes the book does not fit the player or situation. An example would be a guy on first, no outs score tied low digets middle of game on. The pitcher is not know for creating a lot of ground outs, and the batter is also not prone to hitting a lot of ground balls. IMO we do not bunt, because the pitcher has shown he is in control of the game, a double play unlikely, we need all three outs, a blown bunt attempt helps nothing and that is not uncommon. Let the batter swing away. There are dozens of situations that the indivdual player, game, and game circumstance negates the book.Originally Posted by RedBug58
Went to the baseball game Sunday...had a GREAT time! Awesome game to see.
Had to sit through this (http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/6431137.html) on the way home though. It took me 6 hours to get from the Tigue to my house in P'Ville, which is normally about a 1 hour 15 minute drive. I got home at 10PM from the game.
And this was the 2nd time I've sat through this on the basin in my short lifetime.
Andrepourciau, do you think South Alabama was caught in that same traffic jam?
I hope so! I never thought about it, while sitting in it. That makes the whole thing a little better now. Thanks, Turb!Originally Posted by Turbine
That would be a nice little bonus after getting swept. I would not want to be on that bus.Originally Posted by Turbine

Do you think Kittrell complained to the officers in charge of the situation? :-)Originally Posted by GoneGolfin

I heard it mentioned today that South Al coach said they didn't need the showers after Sundays game, so I guess that ride was even longer than suspected.
