It may still prove difficult for other teams to win at the Dome this year. So far, we are 1 and 1 at home in conference play. The team we lost to is considered by most to be the best overall team in the league while the team we beat was picked by some to win the Western Division. Eight more conference home games to go and then we find out how we did at home this year. I won't argue that most figured the FAU game would be a loss since it was a road game. That will be the outlook for most of the away from home games. I won't necessarily say it is because of how we have been conditioned but of how things have gone so far this year. Last year, we won a few road games in conference but we were not so shorthanded inside last season. Looking ahead, Heyward Register of Comeaux is knocking down multiple three pointers in almost every game he plays. He had 19 points in the the first half in the most recent Spartans game.

We were shooting over 80% from the line in the last five minutes of games prior to last night. I won't argue that the performance last night in that regard may have cost us the game. Of course, having only three guys score is a problem. Wronkowski needs to start helping out. In the last home game, you could tell he had no confidence in his shot and passed up open looks. He needs to just liet it go when the offense finds him open. Until he does that, better to play Thompson as he is doing OK on defense now.

I agree. When you are so dependant on 3 players to score, it is imperitive to play backups that are offensive minded. Thompson may show questionable shot selection at times, but at least he has the confidence to let it fly. Lets hope that Register kid can step up immediately next year and give this team an outside threat.

I was never really concerned about winning on the road with Evans as the HC...
