I also don't think that the general public has any clue about how very, very good the SBC women's teams are this year. If we make a little noise in the tournament(s) this year, it might improve attendance next year.

With regard to your earlier point, I agree. We don't have a lot of college basketball fans here.
Just to clear the air. T.V. set the tip for the semi and finals. Women's Coaches tried to change this and was told that if we wanted it on T.V. it had to stay in these time slots. Since they continue to hold the women's and men's together, the times are always going to be early. It's not going to change. Either the fans come or they don't.

On championship Tuesday, women played at 3 while the men played at eight. Would it have been possible for the women to play at 5. That would have still given suffieient time between games. A 5 PM game for the women would have brought in a good crowd.

I know that, coach. Believe me, I know that the TV exposure is very important to the conference and to the teams playing in the televised games. I'm not griping about the time, just making the statement that it was impossible for many fans to attend, and inconvenient for many more casual fans who might have been there at a later time. If I had not absolutely had to have been at work, I would have been there.

Once again, thank you for what you have done for the program and the University. Don't forget to bring the family to the famous Eauque tree against the fence on the West side of the Cajun Field parking lot this fall to join our merry crew in tailgating.
