Mbamalu Scores 26 To Lead Louisiana Past UALR, 79-70

Bryant Mbamalu scored a season-high 26 points and the Ragin’ Cajuns rebounded from some poor foul shooting early in the game to make their final 11 attempts in the final 90 seconds of the game, moving into first place in the Sun Belt west division with a 79-70 win over UALR on Saturday night at the Cajundome.

In another thread somewhere, we were talking about needing to upgrade our talent to compete with our own Cajun teams of the past 20 years. I think I mentioned that Peyton and Colbey were there...and Wronkoski was close.

I don't know if I included Mbamalu. If not, it was due it a HUUUGE brain cramp on my part. Bryant plays extremely hard...plays smart...and on most nights can shoot well enough to help teams from our past. 26 points...with ZERO turnovers last night. The young man could play for me any day!
