WE DON'T CARE! Now, give us something to invest in emotionally & give us a team to go watch that we'll enjoy seeing more than our dentist much less our mother's beautician, and we'll care. We'll not only care, we'll come. You want people to just come fill up the dome. Based on what? You're promise that they'll have enough Calvary Baptist out Slippery Rock Tennessees on their schedule to possibly win twenty games & hopefully win the west division of a conference that has been in a constant backslide for the last ten years?

You belittle the fact that I've actually attended games to base my opinion ( a lot more than two by the way) when I just mentioned the last two I saw, which were absolutely miserable to attend. I would be better served to schedule my future according to your view of the mighty & powerful crystal ball?

BTW, if your crystal is so great, then why didn't it show Marlin getting the players he needed to compete this season?
You are such a big man. Read what you want into what I wrote unlike you I do NOT claim to know everything. Go back to football which you are so great in evaluating talent. Yes let me remind you Jordan Jefferson would win the Heisman. Cajuns would win 12 games. I know it is the coaches fault they didn't win 12 games, they should take your advice. Oh and your great evaluation of Elfrid Payton that he is left handed.
Unlike other on this board I could give a rat's _____ about what you think of me or anyone else that lives, works or plays Lafayette. Why don't you call another radio station and tell everyone how stupid they are and how great you are, because it is obvious we just don't get how truly great you are.

As for their background, Hud was a successful head coach, as was Robe, Mike Lotief was an attorney and Jesse was a high level assistant. Was Marty Fletcher a winner? He has one of the weirdest personalities ever. But had just as much success as Jesse.
Slappy I say they are alike in that all are leaders that people want to be around to be influenced and led by. In a very real sense leaders make others give their will to them to use as they need. They each clearly have their own style. You cannot be an outstanding coach when people get negative vibes around you.

That does not mean you cannot create a strong discipline atmosphere even shout at people, but at the end of the day they have to give their will to the leader.

I made the absolutely most accurate statement that I've read in the last three months when I said going to a men's basketball game is less thrilling than having your mom bring you to the lady's beauty parlor & have to listen to a bunch of old blue hairs talk gossip for six hours straight when your eight years old.

Sounds an awful lot like your opinion than an accurate statement. This ties into ATX's point #2.

FYI an opinion is a statement & the most accurate statement/opinion about following this men's team as it presently sits is that it is pure eye gouging punishment to go watch them. There isn't enough dome foam or hurricanes in the dome to get one T-Totalled enough to endure two hours of their bad imitation of the keystone cops. I'm sorry I have to be the one to bear the bad news to anyone, but my prediction of UL obtaining twelve wins last season was wrapped light years in ions & ions of truth and factual credibility more than anyone will ever give you credit for on your completely myopic opinion of the basketball program. As soon as you can come to that reality, you will also be able to cope with the fact that no one is rooting for dumm dumm to fail at this job & nobody hates him either ( except mother of Ramone). He is just in over his head & he's over the hill. IOW he's how shall we say, behind the music?

"(2) Participate with a little humility and acceptance of opinions that are different than yours. In other words, drop the 'I know everything and you guys know nothing' crap."

Despite how wonderful you think you are, your opinion is just that. An opinion. Get over yourself.

He may be maturing as a person, but as a player, he just doesn't have it( as a point guard). If you have it especially at this level with the amount of focus & time Marlin has obviously devoted to making the kid the point guard, it would be shining through by now . . .
This was your comment on Payton (one year ago, day before yesterday) when he had played his first game as an 18 year old.

So what is this supposed to mean to me? Did the kid ever become a point guard or not? I thought a point guard's number one job was to get his team involved in SCORING! The purpose of the game is outscoring your opponent to post a win. At least that's what my misguided opinion was. How many players scored more than 3 points in the last game they played?

Your prediction went unopposed by anyone who understood the impact of a bad attitude clearance

Question: What was your opinion of UL's 105 point outing against the so-called NBA lottery pick?

Question: What was your opinion of Elfrid's 31 point outing?

Did they win? I asked a question about 6 posts ago myself. Can anyone tell me how many players scored more than three points against UALR? This is a legitimate question to ask 30 games into the season. I'm not picking on anybody. I'm simply saying if you want a following with a fan base you can count on making their plan for the night around your entertainment product, then you have to have a product that people want to go watch. The reason the New Orleans bowl was such a hit besides all the drinking & partying was the fact people knew they were going to see a pretty good football game. Guys would be flying around like madmen & that coaches would have some crazy stuff up their sleeve. They knew win or lose they would get their money's worth on the entertainment end.
