If this team can put a conference W streak together, we can get back to these crowds soon. But we must find some consistency. The guys always play hard but are not consistent. Let get this train on the track and start winning!

I thought he might be there. Sorry I missed him. It looked like about 2,000 in attendance.
I was hoping the football team and coach Hud would make an appearance. Maybe the Athletic Dept. (Marketing--are you listening?!) could "invite" them to the next home bb game --- Thursday, Jan. 10th vs. So. Alabama or Saturday, Jan. 12th vs. John Brady's Arkansas St. team!
If a lot of fans knew this in advance, they would attend, even if only to "THANK" coach Hud and the team for a great season!

Does Marlin seem like he is on the right track?

Marlin is on the right track.

Everything that happened "to" him, was predicted before he was a candidate for the job.

Some people hate Marlin for what ever reason, but he is not the one that brought the program down. The next two years will be special for Cajun Basketball.

That's good to hear. I was a student for the Fletcher era and although I'm not a basketball person the run and gun with Sydney Grider inc. was fun to watch.

As the guys mature on the team you are going see more up tempo and more pressing on defense.

I sure hope so. You can see better basketball at the Guilbeau water tower court almost any weekend.

Would you be so kind as to define specifically what special is supposed to mean. I want to have you on record specifically before I define it as a somewhat fun venue that is not quite as fun as going to the dentist yet more fun than going to the beauty shop all day with your mother when you're a kid. If this coach with this team could achieve these goals, I'd feel better about them than I did the last two times I went to watch.

Not sure who you're talking about hating Marlin. I do know this. In my business he'd have been run off at the end of last season with a run like that. Of course my business isn't a government subsidized civil service type business where mediocrity to less than mediocrity is not only protected, it is rewarded.

He wouldn't have made the season.

You base your great opinion on watching a team play twice? You are the great one and no one can argue with you.
My definition of special is a 20 win season and a Sun Belt West Championship and will compete for the Sun Belt conference crown. I am not sure they will have enough to take the championship next year but will the following year. If anyone cannot see the improvement of this team over last year then 1. they have been to many games or 2. they just do not care to see what is in front of them.

You're right about one thing. I don't care. I'm like 500,000 other people in this travelling area who would say it if guys like you could take it, but it's what we're thinking none the less. WE DON'T CARE! Now, give us something to invest in emotionally & give us a team to go watch that we'll enjoy seeing more than our dentist much less our mother's beautician, and we'll care. We'll not only care, we'll come. You want people to just come fill up the dome. Based on what? You're promise that they'll have enough Calvary Baptist out Slippery Rock Tennessees on their schedule to possibly win twenty games & hopefully win the west division of a conference that has been in a constant backslide for the last ten years?

You belittle the fact that I've actually attended games to base my opinion ( a lot more than two by the way) when I just mentioned the last two I saw, which were absolutely miserable to attend. I would be better served to schedule my future according to your view of the mighty & powerful crystal ball?

BTW, if your crystal is so great, then why didn't it show Marlin getting the players he needed to compete this season?
