Well at that point, in your scenario, UL would no longer be a mid-major but a BCS conference program. So at that point Hud likely stays because in essence he has gotten a better gig and moved from a mid-major to a BCS program without even having to call a moving van.
In 2000 TCU was in the WAC when Gary Patterson took over. Gary Patterson has taken them from the WAC to cusa to MWC to big 12. Coaches can stay if their happy, it does happen.
For the Love of money, yeah, let someone else pay for everything, just give me cheap seats and win.
No traditions anymore, if adidas or Under Armour comes in and says, no more tailgating bands, just a Under Armour/Adidas display with our goods to be sold, we decide your tailgating designs, you do what we want.
Lets sell ourselves like La tech did with Davidson, he runs the show in Ruston and it cost their seniors a Bowl trip.
I am not against Sponsors but I am against a Sponsor telling us what colors to wear or what design to use, if that is the case. I hate Oregon uniforms and the Maryland uniforms look like posters.
Give me Traditional uniforms anyday. Sorry, I am a traditionalist and team player. Lets get 10,000 RCAF members and then see what we can do.
GEAUX CAJUNS.
Gary also wasn't the coach that started the building process at TCU. Franchione went 25-10 from 1998-2000. It is a steady process...Hud has started to build something here but similar to TCU and Boise, the next coach will be the most important hire the admin ever makes. Either you hire a coach who continues to build, or you fall off the map.
Another interesting comparison between Boise and TCU, is that both programs hired from within.
