I said it, so I'll explain it.

Yes, many of our conference mates would jump at the first right opportunity out of here. UL had the chance with UNT and Ark. State or MT(I believe) to go to the WAC but it wasn't worth it to be the only Central time zone members in a west coast conference.

LaTech sold their soul to the WAC and are now paying that price.

this is a conference where NT, Western Ky, and Troy have all talked openly about other other confernces (WKy - MAC, OVC, CUSA, etc) (NT- CUSA) (Troy-CUSA). Western's move to 1A football is a transparent attempt to make them a better candidate once realignment comes along.

Even newcomers FAU and FIU have Big East dreams. Monroe is just happy to be here.

That's pretty much all of the football schools. The rest really don't have any options. Denver has been talked about moving to a more western conference, but that's just a lateral move.

Not one member has any thoughts of stepping down to 1AA.

Easy fix, just spread some rep around a bit. And when you do, keep ol' 'Stro here in mind for the "approved" rep.

This is what happens when a State fan gets a severe case of panty wad.

We have played LSU three times in recent years. One game occurred in Dec. of 2001, another in November of 2004, and the last game was played in December of 2005.

When I was at USL there was little or no connection between the students that attended and the campus or campus life in general. It was and is a commuter school. The vast majority of its students were from a tweny radius of Lafayete and they attended classes and left campus. No one cared about being a student at UL. Unlike say Ole Miss or UGA or LSU where students are part of the school scene or community. You obivousily don't understand what I am talking about because UL does not have that type of envoirnment. This has nothing to do with partying. Tulane is a top party school and provides better academics than LSU or USL. It has to do with the mindset of the student body as a whole. LSU was a southern school, with a sports tradition. More upper middle class students, lots of greeks, strong social scene. ULL was more working-class. Most students were not involved in the school and more worried about work and getting out. Not the same experience at all. Much more of them quitting school or flunking out.

The Greek sys at UL is crap, I was in a fraternity and the fraternity is sys at LSU is excellent. ULL had garbage houses and weak parties. That is why I compared the two.

At UL, no one went to football games. No one went to basketball games. hardly any students tailgated or gave a damn about the team.

There is nothing you can say to support the fantasy that LSU is afraid to play USL. LSU beats USL in everything. LSU has a winning record against UL in everything but softball. Stop lying to yourself. Quit claiming moral victories. UL went 3-2 against the tigets 1 yr out of 100, and LSU elminated them from the playoffs that yr, so which wins counted more?

Nothing in USL sports comes close to comparing to LSU sports. Were you at the football game? LSU could have score 3 or 4 more times on the pepper defense. The pepper offense did not even score a td. You guys just plain sucked. ULL is not as talented, not as good, not as popular, not.... Do I need to go on?

LSU will turn out more draft picks this yr than peppers have in the pros right now. Stop trying to make up things to equate USL to LSU. you are delusional. How many times does LSU have to destroy UL on the field for you to accept it?

Sir, if you believe people in the oil field are uneducated, you are sadly mistaken. The technology required to produce oil in over 5000 feet of water and at reservoir pressures up to 20000 pounds per square inch rivals what the space program employs. By the way, I am happy you enjoyed LSU. Others enjoyed it here. LSU has better teams becasue they have more resources. Some of those resources were gained politically through Huey Long's efforts many years back. That aside, most schools who are in the big time today had similar advantages. Why do you care what we think by the way?

Without calling in more qualified authorities for a diagnosis, we are likely viewing a case of t'pp syndrome. Keep that in mind if ET tries to answer your question.

CM, most lawyers cannot compete with the typical engineer, or doctor of anything. In addition anybody practicing law in Evageline parish is most likely an abulance chaser as more claims per person come from that parish than anywhere else in the state that has more claims per person than any other state in the union. He certainly is not creating new case law, or developing sophisticated contracts to his mega corproate clients.

Thus we have an individual who from all evidence has more time than brains, making sure the world kneels at the alter of the flagship. In other words the kids on the field, in the arena are more successful in their endevors than he is. He fulfills his life goals at the expense of others, and rides on the backs of pimpled faced kids on scholarship because his life sucks.

    Well hero good morning,

First, compete with what? Lawyers and engineers do not work in the same fields. BTW, three of the engineers that started in my law school fclass flunked out. I would be willing to bet that you are not smart enough to get into lawschool, pass it, and then pass the bar.

Second, know things before you spout them. La is not the state with the most claims filed per capita. Tx, MS, CA, and NY all lead Louisiana. I don't practice law in, nor do I live in Evangeline parish. I work in BR.

And pepperfan making jokes about riding the backs of scholarship ath? you losers clean up that rinky-dink stadium. You paint that crappy baseball complex and you gather for a recruiting bash featuring a bunch of rejects and third rate players no one else wants.

Then you come on here and make up lies about it.

You guys are a bunch of middle-aged fat asses who make up conspiracy theories about how LSU stole your school's name and how LSU is the reason you can't win anything in sports.

Listen you oil field trash, why don't you take your ULL rajin peppers and stick em up your ass.

I think that it has been proven that those recruits did not recieve any actuall offers only "interest" from those schools. Once again, pepperfan has to lie about the program in order to make it look better.
