The second encampment believes Joe and Scott to be stupid, incompetent and antiquated. Are there any other negative schools of thought?
Fans are suspiscious of Joe and Scott because on the surface they are operating the way Ray and (most recently) David did. Ray and David's MO was to interact with the public as little as possible, leaving the public wondering what they have in mind. If they get criticized, they get defensive rather than responsive and feed us a crumb or two only if cornered. When fans are frustrated, these leaders don't do anything to demonstrate that they are important, and in so doing make them feel like a nuisance. It's hard to think that their vision for athletics isn't more limited than, say, Mark Hudspeth's because when the dominoes start to fall everything here is TBA while more aggressively-led universities take immediate action and get ahead. We need a higher profile and an improved image.

Accusing the fans of thinking these leaders are lazy liars is the familiar, antiquated, defensive response. I have seen this for more than 40 years and I'm sick and tired of it. It's only natural to think that universities who act immediately are the ones that have it on the ball.

At the end of the day, the onus will be on the fans to support the kinds of initiatives they have been begging for. But they need leadership and a plan to follow before the CUSA, MWC, BE, or other higher-tier slots in the food chain are all filled up by universities that acted immediately. You snooze, you lose.

I say EVERYONE ask Farmer about the master plan release date at the recruting bash, if he gets asked the same question 800 times he might give someone an answer.

Nothing new since my last post about it. Not sure, I'll check. None. Yes.

The bash will be about recruits not master plans, and such.

tic, toc, tic, toc the master plan according to those who are not puppets of the administration is virtually done being peer reviewed, and actions that will put a smile on Cajun fans everywhere will come to light. Not sure it will be before the next movements in the conference musical chairs, because those could happen at any moment, but if they go into May, or later we will be ready.

Still no transparency in RCAF, or out of the administration, and that is a bad thing if you want to bring on the fans.

We need a big Spring RCAF Bash that not only introduces all the Coaches and the players but also raises RCAF money and brings in more RCAF members!!! At this Spring RCAF Bash UL's administration should lay out the plans and announce the Football, Baseball, Weight room, and Track and Field Stadium improvements and expansions designs, cost and approximate start dates. Lets Geaux Scott it is PAST time lets get our game on with Construction. Lafayette area has a 2-3% unemployment rate companies are expanding, ready to donate THEY NEED a PLAN to Spend for UL Facilities before the big money will TRUELY be brought in.
