DENTON, Texas - All that talk about how difficult it is to beat a team three times in a season?
Robert Lee's not buying it, even though that axiom would give his UL basketball team an advantage tonight in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
The Ragin' Cajuns have lost two nail-biters to North Texas, one at the buzzer in overtime and one with 2.2 seconds left in regulation, and face the task of taking on the Mean Green once again in a do-or-die situation at 7:05 p.m.
"Every game is different," Lee said. "There's no guarantee that because you've lost two to them, it can't happen again."
Lee and the Cajuns are hoping that's not the case, since that's the only way UL can get back home to join its league brethren. Tonight's winner, as well as the other four winners of tonight's first-round games played at campus sites, join the three bye-earning teams at the Cajundome for the balance of the Sun Belt Tournament beginning Saturday.
