Thread: NO LIKE NEW SBC RULE ( Revenue Sharing )

  1. Default NO LIKE NEW SBC RULE ( Revenue Sharing )

Reading a Dan McD article it looks like the UL ticket revenue will be right at $1mill---UL's take would be the first $500K and then a 50/50 split for $250k more----BUT now the CAjuns per new Belt rule must split the take with the conference---ergo the $750K shrinks to $375K---Quick little loss there right---They will share in the conference take of the other bowl participants but don't know what helps more ---I would think the former!!!-----Also do the old/new members share in the take???

____ that. WKU sold 2k tickets to their first ever bowl game, and we're giving money we earned to them, so they can bolt when the next domino falls? Bullcrap.

That rule is how almost every other conference does it. Except, most other conferences are stricter on their split %s

  6. UL Football Re: NO LIKE NEW RULE

Last year T-Joe had to use slight of hands to slice a million bucks from the RCAF, in conjunction with an over zealous non proportional cut because Bobby, I never saw an education dollar not worth taking, Jindal and the state took three million from the university. This year Benson decides it is perfectly OK for sixty bus load of Toppers to supplement their loss on the backs of UL fans on the UL NOB money.

The Hoax about an hour away from their bowl get to dip their greedy claws into the UL take. Damn there is just no justice, those clowns are buying their tickets outside the MoanRow athletic office because the Independent gave them crap tickets to sell, so again UL and RCAF will underwrite another non producing group.

Clearly the socialist rule to help those who cannot help themselves sucks. It really is a rule to supplement those who won't help themselves. If I were king, no team gets a dollar from another teams bowl adventure until they buy all their allotment, in other words WKU you need another hundred buses before you get a cut of others share.

And yes I would feel the same if UL was headed to Detroit City. I would buy my tickets and try and attend, but if I could not, I would offer them to UL students , Detroit Big Brothers/Big Sisters, or US Vets. The WKU and MoanRow group should do the same, buy your g damn allotment.

    Just saying

We have an AD? Last time I saw him was two years ago about this time after the hire I think he's been on vacation

Is we can't even make money going to the New Orleans Bowl, then I think it's time for the powers that be to reassess the whole NCAA and its postseason processes. Then again, the powers that be have set the whole thing up so that the little guys have to face this situation year after year.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but we will essentially sell more bowl tickets than any other team in the history of the New Orleans bowl and possibly take a loss?

It would be nice if some type of press release concerning these changes from the Conference would have been issued. Why are the butts in the seats that fund these programs always the last to know???

Screw the conference.they cannot enforce that kind of rule when they have no buy out. I would tell them if they want their money.come get it.
