Cook is a pitcher and Bowman is a CF at Lafayette High. Cook pitched extremely well in the All-Star game this week. We should have really good pitching depth next year, but the bats will be a question. Let's enjoy this and we can talk about 2008 later.

The only negative in my mind in the Top 25 and Top 50 RPI records...

This is certainly the only negative. But it is hard to overlook. If the Cajuns had a decent record in these groups, they would have a Top 10 RPI and would be receiving consideration for a national seed. They are very strong in a lot of other areas. I think that the selection committee will be impressed by the quantity of road games and success on the road.

Wish more of the Cajun opponents would have done better... but kind of makes you wonder how the Cajuns still maintain a Top 15 RPI with relatively few games vs. the Top 25 and Top 50... guess it is overall balance of schedule... Ashame Troy couldn't stay Top 50.

That is simple. The Cajuns are 14-1 vs. teams in the 51->75 RPI range.

Well, I was right. The Cajuns dropped two spots to #14 and are just behind Mississippi. They lost .0038 today, falling to .6004. Troy came in at #54.

The Cajuns are tied for #12 (with Mississippi) in the pairwise s-curve.
