Isn't that guy from lafayette high supposed to be a beast? (the 2nd baseman, i think) i know we should be good in the pitching department for sure.Originally Posted by CajunGuru

How 'bout we all send a bunch of fan mail to Lucroy and let him know how great it would be for him to stay and help us win a National Championship ; )Originally Posted by CajunGuru

Robe seems VERY confident that they will still host. Hope he is right.
Well, whether he truly does believe that or not inside, I think you need to exude such a stance publicly.Originally Posted by cajundiehard

Cook is a pitcher and Bowman is a CF at Lafayette High. Cook pitched extremely well in the All-Star game this week. We should have really good pitching depth next year, but the bats will be a question. Let's enjoy this and we can talk about 2008 later.Originally Posted by ULforlife
True... We can always point at the Tigue as a reason for not hosting - especially if a traveling #1 sent to Wichita... Maybe it would light some fires...Originally Posted by GoneGolfin
This is certainly the only negative. But it is hard to overlook. If the Cajuns had a decent record in these groups, they would have a Top 10 RPI and would be receiving consideration for a national seed. They are very strong in a lot of other areas. I think that the selection committee will be impressed by the quantity of road games and success on the road.Originally Posted by cajundiehard
That is simple. The Cajuns are 14-1 vs. teams in the 51->75 RPI range.Originally Posted by cajundiehard

Well, I was right. The Cajuns dropped two spots to #14 and are just behind Mississippi. They lost .0038 today, falling to .6004. Troy came in at #54.
The Cajuns are tied for #12 (with Mississippi) in the pairwise s-curve.

when does the public find out? Tomorrow or Monday?
Word flying around Stanky Field on Saturday was that Robe already knew we are going to host a regional. Again, this is what I heard around Stanky Field from other Cajun fans about what had been mentioned by Robe.
