    Cook is a pitcher and Bowman is a CF at Lafayette High. Cook pitched extremely well in the All-Star game this week. We should have really good pitching depth next year, but the bats will be a question. Let's enjoy this and we can talk about 2008 later.

    True... We can always point at the Tigue as a reason for not hosting - especially if a traveling #1 sent to Wichita... Maybe it would light some fires...

    This is certainly the only negative. But it is hard to overlook. If the Cajuns had a decent record in these groups, they would have a Top 10 RPI and would be receiving consideration for a national seed. They are very strong in a lot of other areas. I think that the selection committee will be impressed by the quantity of road games and success on the road.

    That is simple. The Cajuns are 14-1 vs. teams in the 51->75 RPI range.

    Well, I was right. The Cajuns dropped two spots to #14 and are just behind Mississippi. They lost .0038 today, falling to .6004. Troy came in at #54.

    The Cajuns are tied for #12 (with Mississippi) in the pairwise s-curve.

    Word flying around Stanky Field on Saturday was that Robe already knew we are going to host a regional. Again, this is what I heard around Stanky Field from other Cajun fans about what had been mentioned by Robe.

    Maybe I should know this because I've been studiously following you all seson long... but wht the heck is the "pair wise S curve"?

    And, as usual, thanks for all your work. Its helped make this season even interesting and exciting than it already would have been.
