Anyone know how long of a drive to College Station? No matter what regional we end up in, it's the weekend of my birthday so I'm going to party.

It's about 5-6 hours. The best route is to take I-10 to Beaumont. When you get in Beaumont, take 69 N toward Jasper and Silsbee. While still in Beaumont on 69, look for the sign for Sour Lake [it may be hwy 105, or it may be 326]. Go through Sour Lake and Saratoga to Cleveland. By now, I know you are on 105. Follow 105 through Cleveland and Conroe to Navasota. From Navasota, take 6 to College Station/Bryan.Originally Posted by cjr3888
This route lets you bypass all the greater Houston traffic except a little bit around Conroe. It's all Secondary roads, which in TX means it's only slightly better than Interstates here in Louisiana.
Most of the credit for this, obviously, goes to the regime of J. Kelley Hall. Remember, though, that some of the best players involved in the turnaround were : Ashley Blanche, Tiffany Washington, Bernette Tolston, Anna Petrakova, et al. Give a little credit to the much-maligned Gaye Nix for recruiting these players to start the turnaround.Originally Posted by Turbine
I mentioned this in another thread, but the official NCAA RPI has the Cajuns coming in at #17. This matches the SEBaseball.com RPI. In fact, looking at the Top 25, the SEBaseball.com RPI from Monday (through games of 4/29) is amazingly similar to that of the official NCAA RPI released today (through games of 4/29).
In the 5/2 SEBaseball.com RPI, the Cajuns remain at #17 but their Adjusted RPI rose last night from .5955 to .5967 due to favorable opponent and opponents' opponents results.

From a strictly power standpoint we should then play at the weakest number one seed, and have the best chance to get to a super regional......Originally Posted by GoneGolfin

The teams sandwiched around the Cajuns in the Adjusted RPI both lost tonight.
Wichita State at #16 (.5985) lost to #184 Northern Iowa 4-3. #18 (.5918) Nebraska lost to #11 (.6120) Coastal Carolina tonight at home, 8-3.
The Cajuns are at #17 with a rating of .5967 and should move up to #16 tomorrow.

Thanks Brian, this is good news. Especially considering we haven't played any of these teams. Hopefully the Cajuns can go out and pick up right where they left off tonight.
How much will the Troy loss affect the Cajuns (in rpi)? I can only guess that UALR has a very low rpi. Thanks in advance.
UALR is at #170. Troy will tumble some spots. They will probably be somewhere near 40 (high 30's?). While this will hurt the Cajuns some now, it will be a wash in the end assuming that Troy plays UALR three times and the Cajuns play UALR three times.Originally Posted by ULforlife
