Doesn't basketball award road wins and penalized home losses.

Basketball weights them differently, unlike baseball.Originally Posted by J-Town Cajun

Did they bring their own umpires from California as well?

I agree with you. Based on the results Coach Hall had while here, I have no reason to question his recommendation of Coach Hatchell. I know David Walker will make the best hire possible and if it happens to be Coach Hatchell, so much the better.
If Hatchell gets the promotion, do y'all think Bari would come as an assistant? If not, then I say take Bari and we have both Bari and Hatchell.
God Bless
Incidentally, we ran the RPI today using the basketball formula. The Cajuns came out with an RPI of 6. This is due to the number of road games (and road wins) the Cajuns have. Of course, if baseball ever did adopt a similar formula, the weightings for home and road games would be different than those used in basketball.Originally Posted by GoneGolfin

On a related note, the NCAA made some mistakes with the RPI published today. Particularly with the classification of "neutral" games. Texas played eight games earlier in the season at Round Rock's stadium because Disch-Falk was being refurbished. These eight games were classified as neutral site games. Next week's report will be corrected. However, as a result, San Diego will be awarded two games worth of Top 25 RPI bonus points since it defeated Texas twice in the three game series held in early February. Thus, if the report were correct this week, the Cajuns would be at #20 instead of #19.
