Some of the content on the SEBaseball.com site is free. For example, my latest article. The Open Message Forum is also free as well as a number of other features. Some of the content is for paid subscribers only.

If you are referring to the SEBaseball.com RPI numbers, this info is not published. It is part of our internal data repository.

    My question is this?

Are these people really candidates? Not in our eyes, but in the eyes of those who make those decisions?

I would hope that at least one of them is NOT a candidate. Sherri Murrell had an horrendous record as a HC at a PAC 10 school. As for the others, I don't have a problem with either, but see both as 'fall-back' candidates.

Of course, my opinion and $1.00 will get you a cup of coffee if you go to a cheap joint.

UL Baseball Conference RPIs... Sunbelt at 6 in one, 7 in another

It was interesting to read Brian's review of the recent adjustments to our RPI as a result of our opponents' recent successes. I looked up the Sunbelt's RPI and we are "6" in Boyd's World... and "7" in Nolan Warren's. Not bad considering it was 9 or worse earlier in the year.

Brian... I don't know where SE Baseball has it, but would like your comments.

Thanks for the insight you provide us!

Hatchell had somewhat similar results at SHSU.

Anywho, no matter who it goes to, they better treat it better than McNeese did, at least 3 applicants should get an interview.

Actually, Boyd Nation has the Sun Belt at #7, just behind the Big West.

SEBaseball.com has the Sun Belt at #6, just ahead of the MVC and Big West.

    You are welcome.

Multiple candidates will get phone interviews, with the top three or four brought in for a face to face.

Just because I had originally suggested him, thought I'd do some research on Bari at LSUE.

Seems he runs a fast pace, "Phoenix Suns" type offense which looks to put up alot of points.

    2004-05: 72.5/63.4 +9.1
    2005-06: 86.8/80.0 +6.8
    2006-07: 83.7/67.8 +15.8

They had a player who was scoring 18 ppg in 05-06, but only played 9 games, which makes you think there may have been some disciplining.

I tried to find some stats for Hatchell but SHSU's website wasn't very nice to me <_<

    lciitsh:
Just a thought from a former U L Head coach. Coach James Hatchell would be an outstanding Head Coach at the University of Louisiana. I'm going to tell you why and this is nothing against the other people who have applied.

    1. Coach Hatchell is already there. 2. Coach Hatchell just received 3 verbal commitments from kids we had recruited all year (just in this last week). Now lets think this through, how hard do you people think it is to get an 18-19 year old kid to commit to a school where ther is no Head Coach in place. you think that's easy ? It's hard enough to get them when you recruited them the whole year. LET'S GIVE HIM THE CREDIT. Coach Hatchell has done the job of the Head Coach. Just so everybody knows, the hardest part of the job there was the recruiting of good players.

The current players already know him and the system would not change that much. A new coach comes in and changes everything. Not sure that is what's best for this group.

Coach Hatchell has 2 more big time recruits coming in there this weekend to visit. If you see them out in the community go up and make them feel welcomed. Could be a slam dunk as you like to say on this site.
I'll leave you with this too, let's say that Coach Hatchell signs two more players this weekend. Coach Hatchell would have now signed 5 out of the 6 that we targeted for the late signing period (with no help). DO YOU THINK THAT HE WOULD DESERVE THE JOB AT THAT POINT ? This is a man who has not been promised anything from anybody. This is a man who is doing his job for the University of Louisiana because he believes that good things happen to good people. The man should be rewarded for what he has done and what he will continue to do in the future for the Ragin Cajun Family. Hope you will support him if you get the chance, He is a man of integrity.
Last but not least, I know in my heart that David Walker will do the right thing for the program. Good Luck, I will be watching and the Cajuns will always hold a special place in Meredith's and my heart.

Well HEADBEARCAT1 if Hatchell has your vote, Hatchell has my vote.

Miss you all, hope things are going well and according to plan.
