    Since Troy beat S. Alabam tonight in OT, we play in Denton on Wednesday night. If Troy would've lost, we would've been at UNO.

    Ready for a rematch...

    What did he say that was wrong? Robert Lee inherited a Sun Belt conference championship program and in two short years has run it into the very bottom of a very weak Sun Belt conference. Mineshaft is right. Thanks a lot Coach Lee for ruining something great!!!!

    Coach Lee inherited a great starting 5 with 0 depth and no young guys to build around. Does he deserve part of the blame yes but to say it is all on him is rediculous. Evans built for the now instead of thinking about the future of the team.

    Z is right. It is just the way he presents nearly every post. Just look at the two RED boxes under his location. He hardly has anything positive to say. I'm sure Mineshaft's life is terrible and the world owes him something, but I don't want to hear it it in damn near every post...

    Mineshaft = Jerry Baldwin

    Doesn't that explain it all?

    I was never a big Evans fan, but if he had not left the team would have not fallen. His track record at UL shows that clearly. Evans is not a great coach, but got the job done. We don't need a great coach to consistently win in the lowly sunbelt and to keep the tradition of winning going. Lee has thus far failed dramatically. If Cajuns turn it around next year then that would be great, but a two year embarassment to simply return to where the program already was for 10 or so years is not really a good bargain. We'll see what happens.... I think the team will be better because sunbelt is so bad and the team is improving under Lee, slowly but surely. But the days of winning on a national stage are over as long as Lee is here, unless of course someone delivers to him the nba type talent that he started with (those transfers will not come play for Lee after the dissaster transfer experiment last year, which other teams will blame Lee for, whether fair or not, when recruiting such players).

    There is nothing positive for him to post about. This program consistently won 20 games a year. This year....20 losses. Simply pathetic and uncalled for for this program. 20 losses is unacceptable when the program is a 20-win per season program.

    Yep, Evans is doing a tremendous job at a private university with a larger budget. You make a lot of general conclusions when mentioning Evans and his tenure. There is one large omission in your assumption concerning Evans,too many kids didn't go to class and graduate. Under the new NCAA rules, Evans coaching tenure would have cut scholarships and seriously damaged this program. Yes he recruited NBA type athletes, and every year there were always two or three with eligibilty questions and academic suspensions. This current group of athletes have a higher gpa then at any other time in the past ten years. So lets make sure we talk about all of Evans tenure, and not just the wins. But I'm sure none of you ever complained about Cedric Williams,Southall ,Greene or Blaine Harmon having to sit out because of grades or skipping class? That is part of the Evans legacy at this university,not just the wins.
