Where in the hell is our new AD, and don't tell me budget issues because that is a crock of S # $ T!!!!!

Where in the hell is the beautiful electronic sign that was supposed to be errected at the corner of Bertrand and West Congress?

Where in the hell is the new ragincajuns.com?

You know, if people around the area or around the country want to get info on the sports programs and how they are doing, the University website would be a great place to go. Fortunately we have this site, but not everybody knows about it.

It just gets soo frustrating especially when I know that we are our own worst enemies. We are always complaining that we are treated like second class citizens, but that is how we treat ourselves.

This is frickin rediculous. Has the search committee even met to discuss the AD position in the last month, two months.....?

Like I said at the beginning of this post, I hate to be negative at right now when there is so much to be positive about, but in my excitement I am trying to get as much info about the sports program as I can, and other than this site............... NOTHING. Jay Walker won't answer any real questions, the _______r is well, the _______r and the rest of time I have to hear about LSU.

    Whew, that felt good

    Now, GEAUX CAJUNS.
The Sign on the corner of Bertrand and W. Congress will be going up in the near future! It has taken some time as there were some engineering issues! DocRaginCajun(Dean Zappii) was contacted by Gerald Hebert and the rest is history, our engineering dept worked things out with some outside involvement and the problems were worked out and this project WILL make you proud!

I agree with the "Book It" statement, and while I have somereservations about how this all came to pass... I am pleased with the outcome.
I spoke with David Walker at the UL vs. UH game in Houston. He said that he has been doing this a long, long time and is ready to retire. He is only working as an interim AD to help Dr. A through this process. He does not want to be the permanent AD.

Like I said more than once in the post Z, I hate to be negative.

I just want to keep these issues in the forefront so people don't forget.

Z, I'm not saying this to be a smart a %$, but what does the NCAA investigation have to do with hiring a new AD?

Unless the entire athletic program is going to get the death penalty, which it isn't, why not continue the search. No matter what happens with the investigation, we still need an AD.

I've been hearing, "soon" we will have a new AD, "soon" the athletic web site will be up........ blah, blah, blah

Somebody please tell me what "SOON" means.

I hate to, but have to, agree.... There is always some excuse for things not getting done....

We have to wait for the new budget to come out.. We have to wait for the investigation to be completed....

All the time, teams that we were once on par with are moving forward..... perfect example is La Tech... There should be no reason for that program to be so far ahead of us in terms of advancing their program... We have the facilities, larger student body, larger community... yet here we are barely keeping pace with Monroe while they are in a major conference and knocking on the door of bigger conferences....

We need to get off our duff and hire an AD... A young agressive AD.... Another of the good ole boy net work is not going to make things happen.. I have nothing against he current interim AD, but he is just part of the same group that has been running this program for 20 years now... Everyone is "comfortable"...Back Slapping, hopping on the plane to another butt whipping....

We need to budget some real money and make a 10 year committment to athletics... If the money can be found in Ruston it can be found in Lafayette... Show that committment and you will find contributors in Lafayette coming out of the wood work... The way things are being run now, no one will do so...

It is amazing what people like Steph, and Robe and Robert have been able to do in the current environment... Let's get something done NOW...

oh wait... we can't move until the street work on Ambassador Caffery gets completed and the I-49 corridor is settled..... geez.......

How has is Tech ahead of us? I dont necessarily disagree with the rest of your post, but Tech is bringing up the rear in virtually every sport we compete in.

Tech is in the Mountain West Conference which is getting 2 or 3 Bowl games per year... Yes our conference got more than one this year only because of the winning record rule...Trust me had another team anywhere had a winning record we would not have been in....Tech has been to at least one bowl game in recent memory... I attended our last one... back in the early 70's if memory serves me.... The Grantland Rice Bowl.....

I'm not arguing success on the field other than the aforementioned bowl games but i think we are kidding our selves if we believe that we would be considered for a bigger conference affiliation before Tech would...

We seem mired in the worst football conference in America and can't even seem to compete well in that one.... the 2005 Co-Championship year notwithstanding... Spring Sports we certainly do better in but we all know what drives the bus.... football....

There needs to be an infusion of new blood and excitement... Remember when Terry Don Phillips came in here???? Thats what i'm talking about... it's not going to happen with another good ole boy that all the cronies get along with....
