Thread: Tatford to UL

    Default Tatford to UL

I just saw a report on the 9:00 PM FOX newscast that Evan Tatford is indeed leaving Tulane and transfering to UL! Can't ever have too many Tatford's at UL!!!!

Wasn't he a decent tight end prospect?

Yes he was. However, I heard a rumor that UL recruited him to possibly be moved to Tackle and he wanted to stay at the TE position. That was primarily why he went to Tulane. Once again, that is what I heard in the rumor mill, can't confirm if that is an actual fact.

You are correct with his eligibility and he will be welcomed at the TE position. He and family are very excited.

I would like to see him at tackle. But, he may give us a little different look at TE then we have had. Plus, we will need a TE by the time is done sitting out.

I tell you what I like--having coached the receivers, there is just something about guys that played b-ball that can find an open area---Every time down court in B-ball you have to differentiate between zone and man---same in football when reading the coverages to adjust routes---the best to me was Stokley!!!

No rumor, that is fact. He is not fast enough to stretch the field like Thompson or Maxwell. Good kid and good family!

No different look than you are getting with Pettis. Both are big traditional TE's with little speed to stretch the field.
