If this is true, IT REALLY MAKES ME WONDER ABOUT MARLIN! ...AND WE GAVE HIM AN EXTENSION!!!!
When in trouble, when in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout.
I heard that Nikita Johnson genetically engineered some high school kid, Matt Moss, and planted him in our program as a spy. Raymone Andrews and JJ Thomas tried to tell Marlin, and he wouldn't believe them...so they left the team. Matt was eventually exposed as the two-timing humanoid he is, and was forced to quit the program. Parrot tweeted this.

In my opinion, only seeing ONE GAME, I do not think he is a D1 Player. He shoots like a friggin 7th grader. i.e...he starts his shooting motion near his waist and uses arm, shoulder and lats to launch the ball. At this level you have to be forearm and writst (mostly wrist) above the head. He can hit open jumpers all day long, but with a defender on him, someone that is 5-4 can block his shot without even jumping.
This may or may not have ANYTHING to do with him leaving or his personal character. Just saying I don't think he would ever have been effective at this level. Marlin had holes to fill and maybe that is why they went after him thinking they could make some minor adjustments.
A lot of what you say probably plays a part in it ... also, when he was recruited/signed, the knock on him was that he was not a good defender and needed to put in a lot of work on that end. Maybe that wasn't his style, hence the lack of playing time ... AMT is having the same problem.
Yes, Marlins philosophy on 'who is in the game' is based on the mindset of 'how can we defend who they have in the game'. If you watch his substitution, you will see him giving breaks his players based on the substitution of the other team. It happens often....so if he can't defend.....it's hard to get PT. A couple of games last year, AMT really hustled on D and it was fun to watch. I wonder what the issue is now?
AMT has lapses on defense...but if he was scoring when in there, those lapses could be overlooked. Problem is, he is not scoring. Hard to justify, I would guess, more PT.
Moss originally signed with Duquesne before going to prep school. Ole Miss, Penn State, Wisconsin, Virginia, Toledo, UTEP, Winthrop, UNC Asheville, McNeese State, Southeastern Louisiana and Presbyterian all recruited Moss, according to his prep school coach (who is one of the nation's best at producing college players). Moss narrowed his choices to McNeese State (which just beat the Cajuns and have played in the postseason each of the past two years), Winthrop and the Cajuns before signing despite Ole Miss hinting that it was about ready to offer him. Someone else will give him a chance to play because he's 6-9 and can shoot. I'd expect him to land at a mid-to-low-major school.
So you are saying Marlin did not make a mistake signing him. Why did he leave? Have you seen his shot that starts at his rib cage and had a 'Hideo Nomo' type pause somewhere between there and his forehead? I will maintain my position that he will not play significant time at any D1 until he changes that.
