they're better than most of the seats RCAF members have been mentioning
6- rcaf members, all season ticket holders got 30 tickets together in section 217, stapled all our papers together, everyone picked up their own tickets and we are all next to each other. In order to be together we had to sit in the lowest members designation which was 250. It was very easy.
Got my tickets today and am in 615. A bit dissappointing since I got much better seats last year but was not even a season ticket holder then. Just curious, will there be any chance that season ticket holders will be able to offer suggestions in some sort of forum after the bowl game? Don't want to just complain but would rather help be part of a solution
I just think this is a situation where 100% of RCAF members feel they should get great tickets but there are only enough great tickets in the allotment for 30% of the RCAF members. When you take away all the premium tickets bought by sponsors, placed on sale to the general public well before we were chosen, and allotted to the other team, there aren't that many great seats left over.
It's not an administrative problem. It's a supply and demand problem.
FWIW, if you think we have it bad just look at ULM. The vast majority of their Independence Bowl allotment is in the top corner of the stadium. All the good tickets were taken by sponsors, supporters, and the SEC/ACC a long time ago. So it could be worse.
After reading all of these various posts, I think these are great problems to have. Can't wait to have them again next year and for years to come!
I wouldn't think so. He got non-priority seats on the other side of the stadium. It looks like UL is picking up as many available sections as they can to sell ... they are probably monitoring this site (as most of Amrerica is) and decided to add the opposite side seat locations.
Everybody has a differrent idea of what a good seat is ... I couldn't tell you what my favorite would be EXCEPT to say I want to be with the rest of the CAJUN fans, where ever they are!
We have it way too good and are already getting spoiled ... look at the ULM posts for their seat locations ... let's go enjoy ourselves as CAJUN fans for the FIRST TIME EVER, BACK TO BACK BOWL GAMES!
GEAUX CAJUNS!
Section 335 here! Looks like we will be taking over ECU's side.
I was going by what Dan said,
"Last year, UL sold almost 19,000 tickets to the New Orleans Bowl through its own ticket office at the Cajundome — easily the most ever by a Sun Belt school. Tickets were priced at $40 and $50, so the income from those sales was more than $800,000, and that was money the university and the athletic program pocketed."
