What really sucks about this is that those end zones seats will most likely not be filled.
Imagine if this were the case last year, and the replay shot of Baer's winning kick going through the uprights would not have looked as cool as it did without all the fans going nuts in the endzone as soon as it passed through the uprights. I was thinking about this just last night after I watched the youtube Sportscenter clip again and when they showed the kick, you see a ton of fans in the end zone and it looked absolutely packed!! The funny thing is the opposite end zone was almost completely empty, so if Baer would have been kicking to the other field goal, the replay would not have looked NEARLY AS GOOD as it did.
I would love to pony up tons of dollars but reality is I can only make a game or two a year, I dont live in Lafayette anymore, have a business to run, 2 girls that swim year around and a wife that would be upset if I was gone all football season. But the other reality is I have not missed going to as many games as possible every year since I started college in 1985, even arranged my leave in the military to make sure that I was in the country for some home games when I was in the military. So no I can't pony up for season tickets that would go unused, but our fans shouldnt get screwed because our administration is beind short sighted
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
yes we sold 18000 last year and we werent shoved into the 600 level so reason would say that 3000+- extra seats shouldnt have pushed us up into the 600 section
Actually it is the administrations fault. Their job is to place us in the best possible seats available, placing people in the terrace level when they had an option for club level is not putting them in the best available seats. When you reserve your bowl seats you should only be allowed to reserve up to the number of season tickets you have. Then after all orders have been filled you then get the option to purchase additional tickets.
