Suddenly, UL's men's basketball squad is the second-hottest team in the Sun Belt Conference.
The Ragin' Cajuns take a three-game league win streak into tonight's road contest at Denver, one of three games the Cajuns have remaining in the regular season. Only Eastern Division champion South Alabama, winners of 12 straight Sun Belt games and holder of the nation's third longest win streak, has a better current success run.
"It's all chemistry," said junior guard David Dees after UL's shocking 85-56 Thursday home win over Western Division leader UL Monroe. "We're getting everybody involved, and if we do that, we've got a lot of guys that are capable of doing more than we were early in the year."
Dees and the Cajuns (8-18, 6-9 Sun Belt) will be hoping to continue that chemistry in the 8 p.m. (CST) contest at DU's Magness Arena. The host Pioneers (4-22, 3-13 Sun Belt) have only two league games remaining and are locked into a road appearance in the Sun Belt Tournament's first round.
