Gotta figure that at least half of these guys won't end up making it all the way through in any case. A question I have is why so many guys seem to have trouble staying in one place in basketball period. It seems just about every team has at least one guy fall by the way side almost every season. Here I am kind of giving Marlin the benefit of the doubt two posts after I said I wouldn't, but if he hadn't already developed such a reputation, Moss might no be such a big story. On the other hand, I seem to remember this guy was supposed to become a big time contributor who was supposed to make us forget all the mess that went on last season. Wasn't he the 6'9' foward who could shoot the lights out from three point land?

You are correct about the 6'9 guy. But the guy everyone was hyped about was Shawn Long. He is averaging 17 points and 9 rebounds a game. Moss did have his share of hype, but not as much as long.

But you are correct that Moss was going to be counted on. Has the school made any statement about him leaving?

Moss is a good shooter. However he is weak defensively. Also, offensively he is strictly a spot up shooter. He cannot and likely will not ever be able to create his own shot or take it to the basket. That does not mean he could not have developed here with work. His contributions may not have come until his junior year.
