UL Basketball Clear up next Saturday Big Game at the Dome

After that big win last night, the next three games will be very important. but that goes without saying. We all know we have two on the road against the only two teams that ahve worse records than us. they won't be gimme games, but they are winnable. Two wins there, and we have a HUGE last home game of the year against NT.

This game has the potential to mean a ton, with respect to the tournament standings. Make sure you start clearing out your schedules now so you can be there and make the dome what its supposed to be.

and even if it turns out that the NT game doesn't mean much, that offers no excuse to not make the game. this team has been through a lot this year, seen many bad times throughout the first 2/3 of the season, but have perservered and are playing their best ball of the season, when they could have quit last month. and, for that, they can be classified as no less than True Men. Make sure you get your asses their and let those guys know, especially the seniors, that you appreciate what they've done.

I will most definitely be there, after seeing the Cajuns beat up on the Illini, of course, at 2:05...

I'm doing this to re-enforce your strategy... keeping this at the top of the list.

  10. UL Basketball McDonald: Stark turnaround in UL basketball means last two games matter

Just in case anyone's been out of touch for the past six weeks, UL's men's basketball team is going to play two meaningful games this week.

Just over a month ago, meaningful would have meant the Cajuns were trying to avoid the Sun Belt Conference cellar, and trying only to save face in a tournament first-round road shellacking. The question was not how many league games UL would win, but if they would win any.

    Things are different now.

Entering the final weekend, with most of the conference teams having two games remaining, the Cajuns are ahead of three league teams and tied with two others in the race for tournament seeding. If they win their two games at Florida International and against North Texas at home - two games they'll be favored in - they're in solid shape to host a first-round game.
