Thread: Looks like a low show for ECU fans.

Default Looks like a low show for ECU fans.

I was looking around the ECU board and they don't appear to be very high on the fact that only 2500 tickets have been sold and most people are donating them. I've read anywhere from 600 to 1500 fans may show up from ECU.

Seem like deja vu to me. Last year SDSU fans felt the same way. They were headed to the Big Least and New Orleans was just some consolation Bowl. I think the fans and the San Diego media kept saying how Aztecs were going to win easily and their players believed that. I hope the results are the same this year.

I'm a little surprised considering they have the highest average attendance in CUSA. Plus it's in New Orleans! Is there a better city to have a bowl game in ?!?!?

I live in San Diego, and the overriding opinion was "wipe the floor with them, leave ASAP." Most media and fans thought it was going to be a cake walk. I smirked for a week after the game.

A week? I'd still be smirking.

I'd love to see them show up. But, we don't get an extra nickel, and it won't be any less fun for us, if they don't. I'm disappointed they aren't rallying their fan base to support their team. If their program believes they're heading to NO, without full preparation and support, and walking out with a trophy... they are sadly mistaken. They had better get behind their team and show up large.

I thought ECU had a good following. We need to make note. Any bowl we are in: We have got to show up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Regardless of where it is. Hopefully what ever conference we are in, in the future, we keep some regional bowl tie ins!!!!!!!

They have never been to a bowl in New Orleans and there are a lot of Papa Noel specials. I expect at least 5,000 minimum. They just need more time to plan and salivate.

It's 3 days before Christmas and that's probably at least a 12-14 hour drive I'll cut the pirate fans a break I wouldn't to fly or make that drive right before Christmas ... I think they'd be showing up big if the game would have stayed a week before the holidays ... I miss the message board invaders already

I also think many ECU fans will come.

They ordered 8,000 tickets. I think they will sell them.
