Almost forgot: Venezia's (http://www.venezianeworleans.com/) Old-school Italian restaurant. Manicotti, lasagna, chicken parmesan, veal parmesan. You name it, they got it. Right at the corner of Canal and Carrollton in Mid-City, just a couple of doors down from Angelo Brocato's (see above). Have supper at Venezia's, then move over to Brocato's for dessert and coffee.

haven't read thread so it may have been posted but Jimmy J's is super clutch. The chef used to work with Emeril so he knows his ____. It's open 24hrs/day on fri-sat. Serves breakfast food(omelets are amazing) and dinner food as well.

Two years of prison love will make you keep your teabag in your pants.

If you want po-boys, you can't go wrong with any of these:

    Parkway Tavern (http://parkwaypoorboys.com)
    Domilise's (https://plus.google.com/111575809209...ut?gl=us&hl=en)
    Parasol's (http://www.parasolsbarandrestaurant.com/)

If you want a muffuletta, there's only one place:
    Central Grocery (http://www.yelp.com/biz/central-grocery-co-new-orleans)
