My daughter works for John Besh. I am forced to eat in his restaurants when I go to New Orleans. [I know, it's a horrible sacrifice, but I have to do it. lol] Though I do sneak out to Mahoneys for a po-boy if I can.

Singha on Baronne across from One Shell Square for Thai food.

Drago's has a location in or near the Riverwalk

Did anyone say Mother's on Prytania for breakfast and also for poboys? Order the debris sandwich. Killer.

Also, in the Quarter, there is a little dive called Country Flame for Cuban food.

    Dokey Chase

Make make sure to say hello to Mrs. Leah Chase. All of the past three US Presidents have eaten there and have their signed pictures on the wall.

I only ate at Drago's once. It was good but I didn't like spitting out shell pieces in my charbroiled oysters. I know it's a bit of a tourist trap but I prefer ACME.

Sobou's is really good and they have free valet parking. It's hard to say what type of restaurant it is but everything I've ordered there was delicious. It flirts with Cajun, Creole and even Cuban food.

I ate a 'seafood' courtboullion at Besh's Lüke last year. It was Surprisingly good. Had redfish, shrimp, crab and oysters.

What was weird about it though, everything in Nola seems to have more of a red/tomato base (gumbo/jamba).... However, one of our signature tomato based dishes, courtboullion, was strictly a roux base. VERY good though.

Yes, same owner. The westbank one is excellent.
