It seems that one resident recruiting expert didn't think one of our signees recieved any other DIV1A offer. Let's see, the kid turned down a visit to Michigan State and several others after he committed to the Cajuns.Perhaps Zem just might want to call his high school coach or ask his parents if he received any other offer from a Div1A program. Or he may just want to find a new source, Kyle Phoular did receive more then one offer. In fact all of the UL signees received more then one offer for the first time that I can remember."Now for all the BS from the gurus. If this year was loaded, be glad you weren't signing QB's and RB's. SLU,FIU, and Northwestern State are the only ones that signed QB's from LA. In fact, the guy at NSU will probably play defense. As to all the great running backs, only four signed with 1A programs. Only 1 FB in the entire state got a scholarship. Great year for OL they say? A total of 3 tackles in the entire state got 1A scholarships. One of those, took his only 1A offer to ULL. There were a total of 5 guards to 1A and no centers. Considering we have 5 D1A programs and only 8 linemen were considered prospects to them. WR and DB were once again strong, while DL was better than usual for the majors, but average for 1AA.However, SLU is claiming 8 DL are ready to play immediately, so maybe they got them all. Tulane and the rest got caught holding an empty bag. This might explain overall why SLU had such a good year in LA. There were many good players in SE LA that were just under the radar of 1A status, but available for SLU to grab. With ULL,Tulane, and Nicholls looking out of state, there was some good picking."
