Moon just said that he has invited the chairman of the Independence Bowl to be on his show tomorrow. He wants to hear from him if Tech turned them down or did they (the I Bowl) move on. I think I will be listening.

Separation = left out.
I think the Tech Administration & coaches if involved should be hammered for this. I don't feel sorry for them as they've shown to be untrustworthy in the past. I do feel sorry for the players, who have no control of this other than their play on the field. They had a very nice year, and don't benefit from it.
This was a sincere invite to a bowl game, nothing else.
Shreveport Times sports writer Jimmy Watson is scheduled to visit on the Sportsnote today to give his thoughts on Tech's situation around 11:15-ish on ESPN1420.. .. Some may remember Jimmy from the time Tech and Cajun’s were talked about maybe playing each other in the Independence Bowl.. Although I know him to be a good guy, notot sure Jimmy made many friends back then.. For any interested hearing his thoughts on what happened w/Tech’s bowl gamble, please tune in ..
At this point, I think with the Perception problem of the sunbelt, you gotta root for the conference. Normally I wouldn't but in this situation, I will. Sunbelt 4-0 in bowl games looks great for all of us.
Listening to Van de Velde, it is now confirmed through a Louisiana Tech official that the Independence Bowl did want a Louisiana Tech vs. ULM matchup, a matchup that Tech fans are desperately claiming was not desirable by the Independence Bowl. Van de Velde clearly articulated that it came down to the Independence Bowl choosing not to wait for whatever MAC team(s) were there in the end ... and wanted an answer from Tech.
I was disappointed that Brando did not challenge Van de Velde on his assertion that Ohio would have been there in the end and that the Indy Bowl could have waited. Had the Indy Bowl not locked up, they might have been stuck with a 6-6 Central Michigan team or some other less desirable MAC team. The Independence Bowl did what they had to do.
