The Tech board is real interesting to read right now. It appears that it was all the Indy Bowl's fault for not waiting to see if Tech got into a better bowl. Looking from the outside in we all see how arrogant and stupid that is. Kind of like telling your boss you are searching for a better job but you wanted to keep this job as a fall back. However, they have said it enough that people are buying it.

Let me think, yea he really screwed the bowl pooch this one year, but on the other hand they are in CUSA playing most of the teams you want to play every week, not Lamar, SHSU,Apple State, Georgia Southern,getting at least a million more a year for their program.

Dude I love UL, but the Wizard of Martin Hall and his front man have done way too little for me to blast another program that has done everything up to this bowl right.

I read earlier that LA Tech turned down the invite from Independence multiple times over the past few days.

Their propaganda machine says not so. the AD says they were never given a formal offer, LTU asked for extensions to the non offer, and finally the non offer was rescinded by the LB.

My question? How can you rescind a non offer, that was never turned down?

I agree with Tech's decision not to go to the independence bowl. I support their standing on their principles despite their misfortune. I hope that they continue to stand their ground and turn down bowl game opportunities especially in years that UL is bowl eligible.

Boys and girls I did not get enough Cajun Love in the last NOB, this time taking in ALL the pre game fun, Thursday through Saturday. And when we win, I will break Mrs. Expresses heart, and end up in Lafayette to watch the Marlin crew. She thinks I will help her baby sit that evening, but only if we lose, and so I will have my tickets, and gasoline ready.

This is a really messed up situation. This was Techs best season since they went Division 1 in '89. As an Alum & fan I'm beyond ____ed that the decision makers could let this happen. I feel horrible for the players most of all.

I due find it interesting, to say the least that the Tech posters on RP were extremely sympathetic to your conference woes earlier this week...and now most of you are being truly classless back to us. Thx

The funniest thing about this whole situation is that Tech fans think that this is the fault of the Independence Bowl. They think that the I-Bowl should have waited for them to finish looking for other bowls.

Blue Dawg several days ago said we needed to forget the I-Bowl snub LTU was the prime villein in. So now it is not only something that we need to forget but be the bigger man, er? program. Could not happen to a more deserving athletic administration.

Where are all the Dawg Nation posters now? Yea, better to sit home than ULM. Those are the same ones calling for heads. I gotta agree with the calling for heads, but they did just what you all wanted.
