I'm so happy for WKU, I have good friends in BG and they thrilled to death! I think La Tech biggest obstacle is in it's future. After turning down a Bowl game in local "Own-the-Market" type of city, how soon will they start to push Tech away? I-Bowl has let them play in their stadium for many years...how soon will this stop? College Athletics is def about money, but also about alliances. Tech potentially have maybe messed things up for a while.

How did they get screwed out of a bowl? I guess this is why it's important to have multiple bowl tie-ins for your conference. They are still in my doghouse, but they deserved to go

It appears Benson threw whatever weight he has behind the teams staying in the Belt. It was the right move, sucks for MT and their fans.
Count me as one of those wanting to go to CUSA. From a football perspective though even the weakened Belt is still a decent mid major football conference and equal to cusa. Although unhitching Tulane helps them considerably.

They got left out when it became clear one sunbelt wasn't going to be in. Then it was an easy choice, mt isn't going to be in belt anymore. 4 bowl games to sunbelt schools.

Word. They played well enough to deserve a bowl. Shame the seniors don't get one. As well as they played at start of season, would have likely been an entertaining matchup with someone. Can't fathom not signing on for the kids.

This is a really messed up situation. This was Techs best season since they went Division 1 in '89. As an Alum & fan I'm beyond ____ed that the decision makers could let this happen. I feel horrible for the players most of all.

I due find it interesting, to say the least that the Tech posters on RP were extremely sympathetic to your conference woes earlier this week...and now most of you are being truly classless back to us. Thx
