Yea, I get that, but just because Obama, or Moon tells the truth on occasions does not mean it is not the truth.
BD, you can spin it any way you want, LTU simply dropped the ball on this one. It matters not who is calling it that.
We all know who calls the shots at LTU, and his name is not on the AD door.
How is what I said "Spin"? I just meant Moon Is probably a little biased on the subject. Obviously Tech dropped ball, no ones contesting that. Your beloved Coach HUD even found it appropriate to rip Tech.
I found this statement interesting on the ESPN website:
"Offering free tickets is nothing to new to Northern Illinois. Turner said the university has provided free tickets to bowl games and MAC championship games since at least its berth into the 2008 Independence Bowl.
"It's fairly standard for us to offer free tickets to students," Turner said. "This is something that is extremely important to us. When the (bowl) came about, it didn't take us long to make tickets free as well."
http://espn.go.com/chicago/college-f...e-bowl-tickets
NIU had to give tickets away for the 2008 Indpendence Bowl and the Cajuns would have been there in mass will bells on. Go figure.
Blue, everyone that hears how this went down is going to "rip Tech". Many times arrogance goes unpunished. When arrogance takes a straight shot to the jaw, very few pass up the opportunity to pile on. People have admitted that this Tech athletic department failure is very unfortunate for the Tech football team (especially the seniors), but it stops there. The delight in witnessing arrogance fall on its miserable face is a rare treat.
You seem to be a good guy. But, you have a larger outspoken fan group that slams us constantly. We are enjoying watching them squirm in misery... not you. I believe, however, you and your brethren, should just remain quiet and take your beatings. The larger Tech fandom has reveled in their prior plays of arrogance. You got caught in your own trap this time. Just look back out of that self-made cage and take it.
Today... in the lore of Tech arrogance... for a change... there is a dark chapter.
Tech and their aloof attitude got a nice piece of humble pie. "One in the hand is better than two in the bush!"
Nobody is hating on Tech. Tech's aloof attitude simply got what it deserved. Better luck next year in CUSA where y'all will get raped!
Oh c'mon. Since when did being "proud" of your team become "arrogance?"
Team sights get the extremes of the fan base, y'all know this.
Man, I just read the stories in the Shreveport Times and my head hurts from trying to keep up with Van de Veld's ever changing explanations and indignation.
